benef business

Include companies operating in a wide range of sectors, from Geo-spatial to ICT which can be directly or indirectly benefitd by LAMPRE products and services. In particular:

Companies in the Geo-Spatial Technologies and ICT

Products and tools combining and integrating multiple types of data, information and technologies for landslide susceptibility and vulnerability modelling.

Companies operating in other sectors

Landslide hazard evaluation and risk reduction in the areas they are operate.

benef citizen

The population is interested to be aware about the basics of landslides events (where, when and to what extent the ground may become unstable) and which procedures should be followed if landslides occur for a the safety and security of their lives and territories. More specific questions on population needs are available on the LAMPRE educational area.

benef scientists

LAMPRE produces scientific knowledge advancements on landslide phenomena relevant for the international scientific community and contributing to strenghten the European Reserach Area, and in particular:

LAMPRE addresses different scientific needs, including:

  • Understanding the relationship between climate and landslides and development of better models for fast landslides.
  • Short-term prediction of landslide activity, including the use of models and GIS.
  • Improving regional landslide susceptibility assessment models
  • Understanding on vulnerability to landslides
  • Investigating and advancing numerical modelling to forecast landslide impact, and to design landslide impact scenarios
  • Developing geo-information processing tools for preparedness and for recovery
  • Defining standards for production and validation of landslide inventory and susceptibility maps
  • Enhancing the operational capacity of Copernicus (ex GMES) core and downstream services
