26-27 June, Vilnius, Lithuania - The meeting on exploitation of LAMPRE EO-based products and service organised by GMX in Lithuania saw project partners CNR, KCL, ALTA, BOOZ&Co, GMX and UP discussing to advance the business plan for LAMPRE products and services, leveraging on the project outcomes and taking into account the Copernicus Emergency Management Service context and target markets.
11-13 June 2014, Prague, Czech Republic - LAMPRE will take part at the European Space Solutions Conference. This 3-day conference will involve a wide audience of users and developers of space-based solutions to discuss about the potential for using space technologies from the Galileo/EGNOS (navigation) and Copernicus (Earth observation) programmes.
19 May 2014 – Jerusalem, Israel - The LAMPRE Project Coordinator, Fausto Guzzetti, was invited by the Geological Survey of Israel (GSI) to present Lampre, its objectives and latest work developments.
May 2014 – The article "Comparison of event landslide inventories: the Pogliaschina catchment test case, Italy", by A.C. Mondini et al was published in May edition of NHESS.
27 March 2014 - Florence, Italy – Alessandro Mondini (CNR-IRPI) gave an oral presentation about LAMPRE "Earth Observation methods for rapid mapping of event landslides" applied in the LAMPRE project at an audience of 30 researchers at University of Florence.
12-13 March 2014, Bruxelles – The WP8 coordination meeting reviewed the challenges related to establishing (i) the business case for LAMPRE, (ii) establishing the links with other Copernicus services, and (iii) assessing cross border clustering opportunities, in view of taking practical actions to structure WP8 overall framework to ensure consistency of approach for respectively Task 8.1, Task 8.2 and Task 8.3.
13 March 2014 - 14 March 2014, Brussels, Belgium - Copernicus Big Data Workshop focused on data availability for Copernicus users (public authorities, downstream industry, researchers, etc.), as well as on technical solutions to ensure the uptake of Copernicus data and information.
February 2014, Bari, Italy - Oral presentation about the communication approach of LAMPRE provided at the SPACE4YOU Conference, promoted by Apulia Region and NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies).

The population is interested to be aware about the basics of landslides events (where, when and to what extent the ground may become unstable) and which procedures should be followed if landslides occur for a the safety and security of their lives and territories. More specific questions on population needs are available on the LAMPRE educational area.
